Abstract

The paper substantiates pedagogical conditions and methods for preparing Bachelor students in special education for vocal‑based corrective practice, drawing on contemporary Chinese experience. Readiness of the future specialist is presented as a holistic, integral construct that includes motivational–value orientations (professional responsibility for the child’s safety, dignity, and emotional comfort), cognitive components (knowledge of vocal pedagogy, speech therapy, music therapy, and the psychology of speech), practice-oriented skills (designing, delivering, and adapting vocal–speech sessions), and reflective mechanisms of self-development (self-analysis, supervision, and planning for professional growth). A modular curriculum structure built on the “learning by doing” principle is described, which sequentially cultivates musical–speech literacy. The article specifies pedagogical conditions that ensure the effectiveness of training: creating a creative and safe educational environment; interdisciplinary integration of knowledge and practices; strengthening the practical component through micro-courses, mentoring, and portfolios; a culturally sensitive repertoire policy; a focus on vocal hygiene and ethical standards of interaction with children; the use of digital resources and the introduction of micro-credentials; and the internationalization of educational trajectories (academic exchanges, COIL projects). The methodological section details a set of effective interventions: breathing-vocal exercises and semi-occluded vocal tract techniques, logorhythmics as a synthesis of movement, rhythm, and speech, phonemic–prosodic training, play-based vocal practices, ensemble-based formats, adaptations of Melodic Intonation Therapy (MIT) for tonal and non-tonal languages, as well as a reflective portfolio as a tool of formative assessment. Examples of sessions are provided that demonstrate the practical translation of theoretical foundations in work with children of different ages and with a range of speech disorders. Pathways for implementation in Ukraine are outlined: integrated courses, interdepartmental projects, internships in specialized institutions, the development of localized micro-credentials and digital materials, and the formation of a supervision network and inter-university cooperation to verify the quality of training and to scale practices.
