TECHNOLOGY FOR DEVELOPING MILITARY LEADERSHIP IN FUTURE INTELLIGENCE OFFICERS DURING COURSE TRAINING AT HIGHER MILITARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

The article provides a theoretical justification for the technology of forming military leadership in future intelligence officers during course training at higher military educational institutions. The relevance of the study is determined by the transformation processes in Ukraine's military education system, the need to train officers capable of operating effectively in modern combat conditions, and the orientation of the professional military education system towards the standards of the North Atlantic Alliance countries. The purpose of the article is to develop and theoretically substantiate the technology for forming military leadership in future intelligence officers during course training at higher military educational institutions. To achieve this goal, a set of theoretical research methods was used: analysis, synthesis, and generalisation of scientific and pedagogical literature, comparative analysis of scientific approaches to the interpretation of military leadership, systematisation, and generalisation to determine the essence and structure of the phenomenon under study, as well as pedagogical modelling to develop the technology for its formation.
The study clarified the essence of the concept of ''military leadership of future intelligence officers,'' which is considered an integral professional and personal characteristic that reflects an officer's ability to exert leadership influence on subordinates, organise the activities of an intelligence unit, make management decisions in conditions of uncertainty, and ensure the fulfilment of combat tasks. The structure of military leadership has been defined, including motivational, cognitive, organisational, and reflective components. The technology for forming the military leadership of future intelligence officers during training has been substantiated, comprising interrelated content-targeted, procedural-activity, and assessment-result blocks. The implementation of the technology involves integrating a competence-based approach, practice-oriented teaching methods, active and interactive forms of educational activity, mentoring, and modelling professional situations in unit command. The criteria and levels of military leadership formation of future intelligence officers have been determined.
