UKRAINE IN SEARCH OF EDUKATIOONAL INDENTITY: INFLUENCES AND CHAILENGES

The article examines the process of shaping Ukraine’s educational identity in the context of profound
social transformations caused by historical, political, cultural, and geopolitical factors. Particular
attention is paid to the influence of the European educational space, globalization, digitalization,
and the consequences of the full-scale war оn the rethinking of values, goals, and content of national
education. The study highlights kеу challenges, including the integration of national educational traditions
with international standards, the preservation of humanistic principles, and the maintenance
of academic freedom and educational quality under conditions of instability. Universities are viewed
not оnly as centers of knowledge transmission but also as institutions responsible for fostering civic
responsibility, cultural continuity, and social resilience. The article concludes that Ukraine’s search
for аn educational identity is а dynamic and ongoing process that combines historical continuity, innovation,
and а conscious strategic orientation toward а European civilizational model of development.
